Welcome to my blog, “Some Moore Thoughts.” My name is Elizabeth Moore, and I just graduated college recently and have been struggling with finding my purpose in the world since then. In honor of the four fantastic English teachers I had in high school, I became an English major in college. Not in the “I’m amazing at literary criticism, and my writing sounds like it could be in a novel or published research paper” way, but in an “I love to talk and share my opinions and hear what other people think” way.

After graduating, I realized I missed sharing my opinions in class about whatever book or paper we read and writing papers on those subjects I felt extra passionate about. It might sound odd, but I loved figuring out how to express my thoughts and get my audience to try to understand my point of view; I viewed it all as a massive, complex puzzle.

One thing I learned about my writing, with the help of a few professors and teachers along the way, was that I had a very strong voice. At one point, I was told my writing even came off as a bit aggressive because I made it almost too obvious how much I believed in what I was writing. Though that may not be the best tone for any sort of professional writing, it is great for a blog (or at least one of my teachers early on in high school thought it was).

It is on that recommendation (almost 6 years later) that I am finally getting around to starting that blog! So, here is a place where some moore of my thoughts live. Join me as I rant and ramble about everything from books to movies to theatre to music to travel and everything in between in life.

Until I have some moore thoughts for you,

Elizabeth
